Composer & Lyricist
Pearl is a classically-trained composer and a skilled lyricist with training from the great William Finn. She works primarily as a composer-lyricist, but also as one or the other with a collaborator. She is actively pursuing relationships with bookwriters.
Pearl is comfortable writing in various genres, from American Songbook to rock to country. She is most at home writing chamber folk music. As someone once put it: “like if Regina Spektor listened to a lot of Aaron Copland and also was the ghost of a Victorian child.”
Her absolute favorite niche is writing songs about science, and scientists throughout history.
